PRC1 forms nanoglobules in vivo
Congrats Thierry and all co-authors!

Using super-resolution microscopy to study PRC1 in Drosophila embryos, we show that Polycomb foci are organized into dynamic “PRC1 nanoglobules.” These structures preferentially associate with Polycomb response elements and help shape the 3D organization of Hox gene loci. Our results suggest that PRC1 nanoglobules contribute to Polycomb-dependent gene silencing by compacting and positioning target chromatin.
