During her PhD at IFOM-Milan, Christelle studied the relationship between DNA replication stress, epigenetic regulation, and cell identity in mouse embryonic stem cells. Her research currently focuses on the role of the different Polycomb-group proteins in regulating cell fate through epigenetic and transcriptional changes, as well as alterations in the 3D chromatin organization of mammalian cells. Such an approach would deepen our understanding of the epigenetic mechanisms underlying cell identity maintenance and elucidate the consequences of Polycomb deregulation on cell fate decisions and disease onset.
